Marilyn Bearr won the TPHS William H.P. Emery
Award for Post-1940
and a Vermeil Medal
for her multi-frame exhibit "A Philatelic Look at HemisFair '68." Congratulations, Marilyn!

Vince King won the TPHS William H.P. Emery Award for
Pre-1900
and a Silver Medal for his single frame exhibit
"Texas Markings & Usages of the 1853-1855 3c Nesbitt Stamped Envelope." He also received the Women Exhibitors Sterling Achievement Award. Congratulations, Vince!

 

Longtime TPHS member William K. McDaniel
won a gold Medal and an array of top awards for his exhibit "The U.S. Three Cent Stamps of 1851-57: Production and Usage." Included was the TPA President's Award for Best Exhibit by a Member, the Texas Stamp Dealers Assn. Most Popular Exhibit Award and the Cryer Memorial Cup for Best U.S. or Confederate Exhibit. At right is Chief Judge David McNamee. Congratulations, Bill!

The TPHS Spring Fling chow line is kicks off the evening as shown by Jonathan Topper and Larry Ballentyne. The feature was barbecue augmented by tamales and Hill Country strawberrys contributed by Fred and Linda Ekenstam.

TPHS President Vince King and Secretary/Treasurer Lyle Boardman enjoy the festivities during the 2010 TPHS Spring Fling in the "President's Suite" at the Doubletree Hotel North Near the Galleria.
