NOMINATIONS NOW OPEN
FOR UPCOMING TPA ELECTION

Nominations are now open to candidates for officers of the Texas Philatelic Association for 2010-2012. Also available are three seats the TPA’s board of directors and two positions on the Texas Philatelic Association Foundation board of trustees, all for 2010-2014 terms.

Each prospect should prepare a written statement signifying his or her willingness to run for a specific office and attach thereto a short biography. A form for the purpose is available by clicking here.

The necessary information must be submitted to Lyle Boardman, TPA Secretary-Treasurer, 3916 Wyldwood Rd., Austin, TX 78739-3005 by October 15, 2009.

OPS SALES CIRCUITS NOW
AVAILABLE TO TPA MEMBERS!

Members of the Texas Philatelic Association are now eligible to participate in the Sales Division of the Oklahoma Philatelic Society (OPS). Membership in the OPS is not required for TPA members to buy or sell stamps. See the September/October 2007 edition of The Texas Philatelist for more details, then click on the OPS icon at right to participate.

TPA/OPS SUMMER AUCTION 2009 NOW UNDERWAY!

More than 110 lots entered in the TPA/OPS Summer Auction 2009 await bids from members of the Texas Philatelic Association and the Oklahoma Philatelit Society. Over $3,000 catalogue value in material has been donated to benefit the TPA by members Warren Crain, C.E. Fink Gerald Fitzsimmons, Ben Hong, Robert E. Hyer, Sr., William Kibler, Robert Thompson, Jonathan Topper and Arthur von Reyn. The lots are predominately United States and Hawaii, but with a smattering of excellent quality world-wide as well.

Only members of the Oklahoma Philatelic Society and the Texas Philatelic Association may bid. Bids will be accepted through Saturday, August 15, 2009. Items will be sold at one increment over the second highest bid, except in the case of where only one bid is received, in which event the sale price will be at the reserve amount. 2009 YOUTH HOLIDAY STAMP
DESIGN CONTEST UNDERWAY!

Entries are now being accepted for the 21th Annual Youth Holiday Stamp Design Contest, which is open to all junior collectors ages 17 and under. Membership in the Texas Philatelic Association or any other collector group is not required for entry. For an entry form with instructions, click on the icon at right.
